Ah, breasts. This one body part has had songs made about them, been celebrated in art and literature, and even managed to topple some noteworthy political figures.

Whether you call them “the girls”, “boobies”, “bazongas”, or whatnot — breasts are many things to those who have them and to those who don’t. For the jokesters in the back of the class who didn’t pay attention in physics class, breasts are found in the upper ventral region of the torso. In females, the breast serves as the mammary gland, which produces and secretes milk and feeds infants.

At puberty, estrogens, in conjunction with growth hormone, causes breast development. While some choose to have reductions or surgery to increase their breast size in America, outside of our borders, England has the biggest per capita of boobies in Europe. With over four million bras produced every day, the first sports bra, The Jogbra, was created in 1977 by two women who stitched together two jock straps.

These important mammaries have sustained life for man, woman, and child since the creation of us all. We’ve got a million slang words to describe them in the midst of an entire industry developed to augment and reshape them, yet do you know every thing there is to know about your breasts? As women around the globe strap them into bras for sport, comfort or just to stunt, there are a host of people who just go on throughout the day, seldom thinking about why their breasts are even there.

That’s why we put together this helpful list of 10 facts about breasts — some amazing, others just simply funny tidbits, but all of which can give us a better understanding of those beautiful boulders below our shoulders.

In the bustling streets of Southeast, Washington DC, rapper Kazon’s latest offering, “My Brother,” emerges as a symphony of redemption and advocacy, resonating with audiences far and wide.

Kazon’s path to musical stardom has been fraught with obstacles, from brushes with the law to a brush with death that left him scarred but unbroken. Through it all, he credits his resilience to the belief that every setback is an opportunity for growth.

With “My Brother,” Kazon takes on the role of a lyrical mentor, offering guidance and solace to Black youth grappling with violence and systemic oppression. Through heartfelt verses and melodic refrains, he shares his own journey of redemption, using his past mistakes as a catalyst for change.
