Guinot Creme Hydra Beaute

My quest for the perfect moisturiser continues and here’s the latest one I’m trialling, the Guinot Creme Hydra Beaute, which is a light yet nourishing and very versatile cream that can be used morning or evening and is gentle enough for under the eye area too.  It’s designed to provide long-lasting hydration to all skin types and is suitable for even very sensitive skin.

Guinot Creme Hydra Beaute Review

My skin is still spot-prone, very much so, but it’s also very dry.  I’d say it’s getting more dryer as the weeks go by and unless I use something very rich (that’ll almost certainly break me out) then I usually have that tight, dehydrated feeling which of course means skin looks very dry under make-up too.  The Guinot Creme Hydra Beaute is gorgeous and a cream I reach for a lot, but it’s just not quite hydrating enough to deal with my hardcore dryness.  If it had arrived a year or two a go when I was spot-prone combination, I’m fairly certain it would’ve become my Holy Grail cream as it’s rich yet light and perfect for I’d say most skin types other than the very dry.  If you’re oily, spot-prone, sensitive, normal or combination then I think you’ll like this moisturiser very much as it really is very nourishing, just not enough for my tricky skin type…very annoying as I feel like I’m almost there with this one! As I said, I’m still using it in the mornings (it sits well under make-up and doesn’t bit or roll at all) but it isn’t quite hydrating enough for me.  It’s £33.50 here – link.
