New Balance Is Feeding Our Athleisure-Wear Obsession

There’s nothing done in healthy doses around here. Either we’re loving something or have no desire for it at all. The “Beyonce” album, life. The Miley Cyrus mixtape, trash lining.

We go hard or go home– and the same goes for our love of athleisure-wear.

It literally feels like we’ve been waiting our whole lives for sweats to become fashionable. In the past, athletic apparel came in the form of baggy, unflattering cotton separates with no personality or pizazz. They were simply to get the job of working out done.

Over the past year, designers and major labels have transformed the concept of comfortable with Karl Lagerfeld putting baseball caps in the Chanel show and Alexander Wang creating an entire activewear collection with H&M. The idea is that women are so busy and multifaceted that one uniform is sometimes needed for the entire day.

Organically expanding to offer more day wear, New Balance’s fall 2015 collection has a ton of pieces we’d like to sport all day.
