You’ve seen her at award shows and basketball games with your favorite bad gal, but who exactly is Melissa Forde?

For starters, she’s more than the best friend of Rihanna. In addition to photography, the taste maker is also plotting an accessories takeover with Opening Ceremony and Wale’s Wrkng Title line. Starting today, you can shop her debut bucket hat collection, M$$xWT, both here and here for all of your summer wardrobe needs.

Described by Humberto Leon (OC’s co-founder) as the “perfectly proportioned bucket hat,” its unique designs and affordable price point ($55) are a result of Melissa’s research prior to.

“Robyn [Rihanna] has been designing for River Island and I’ve been in every single meeting with her,” she dished to Racked at her NYC launch party .

“I just really knew what I wanted and I had a really great team. Everything I said to them they were able to execute perfectly. I feel like it shouldn’t have been this easy, but it was.”

Unsurprisingly, Rih Rih was just one of many who showed up to toast Melissa at Opening Ceremony’s Soho store on March 30 (above). For years, these two have been the definition of “BFF goals” and with Forde stepping out on the professional front, we can expect plenty more.
