Grammy award winning producer Rio (RioTheyNeedAHit) Bridges has been killing the R&B game for a long time. Having penned hit records for the likes of Afro Jack, Baauer, Tyrese, Jill Scott, BJTheChicagokKid, Wale, Gucci, Diddy, Leikeli47, and Ashanti, Rio’s extensive track record makes him one of the most underrated hitmakers in the game.

Growing up in a musical family in Richmond, Virginia, his love for music has been there since the age of 7. His father had a popular local band, which gave Rio access to every musical instrument that a young boy could dream of. By the age of 18, he was considered Virginia’s best-kept secret. His humble upbringing and love for God has allowed him to create timeless music that will survive for years. Just like K. Michelle’s “Save Me“.

As the songstress is prepping for the release of her fifth studio album All Monsters Are Human, she enlisted the help of Bridges to create REAL R&B music. Alongside Aaron Sledge, Phil Cornish and Lee Major, and Sean Momberger, this team of creatives are prepping for Michelle to have her biggest release to date.

In a recent interview with Respect Magazine, the Virginia native shared more insight about their creative process in putting together K. Michelle’s forthcoming album.

It has actually been pretty fun. We always worked hard. On the very first day K. Michelle invited me and my bro Aaron Sledge (Grammy Winning Songwriter/Producer) along Phil Cornish ( Grammy Nominated Producer) to her Malibu home and we literally created some incredible songs on the spot in her living room. Phil had the keyboard and lap top and the vibe was there! We then had several studio sessions with K.Michelle and other producers who are also on her project. Her album is going to be really good!! I’m excited for everyone to hear it”.
