Da-Wolf – Hunger @dawolfmuzic

Published

on

The official video for “Hunger” kicked off the new year for Da-Wolf as she sets her sights on pushing out more quality tracks with an intent to be the next break out female rapper on the scene. “You busy eating, but I got that Hunger” is a quote to live by as she gets down to the knitty gritty and pushes herself past previous sounds. They say the wolf on the hill is never as hungry as the wolf climbing the hill and in the track Hunger, listeners can hear Da-Wolf’s passion and aggression.

Born and bred in the DMV, Da-Wolf was surrounded by a variety of culture and experience that helped cultivate her sound. Inspired by her fixation on geek culture, Da-Wolf paved her own style of hip hop music. With an aggressive version of artistry aligned with the quirkiness of her lyrics and her ability to hold a tune, Da-Wolf has dropped projects like Sex & Video Games, Legend of the Geek, Spring Heat, and Illustrated the Ep.

Da-Wolf has had the pleasure of opening up for the likes of Crank Lucas, PaperBoyThePrince, AdotWake and more. She has graced the stages of The Velvet Lounge, the Pinch, the University of Maryland, Howard University, PassDaAux, and continues to bring her unique brand of rap to audiences willing to listen.

She has also made appearances at radio stations across the DMV such as 88.9 WEAA, 88.1 UMUC, and 88.5 WAMU just to name a few. Many of her songs such as Mark of the Wolf, Dreamz, Believe It have been played on syndicated radio airwaves and other songs such as Hype |Renegades| and Watch Yo Mouth have made their way to podcasts and online radio. With one listen to any of her tracks it’s not hard to tell that she is influenced by the styles of Missy Elliot, TLC, MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Salt & Peppa, and more hard hitting female emcees of the previous generation.

With phrases like, “I rap about ya mans pokeballs and turning Super Saiyan LVL 3,” there’s no wonder why the unique gravitate toward her. She calls her ever growing group of fans the “Da-Wolfpack” and with them in toe; she continues to work towards her goals of climbing to the top.
