It was an eventful day at the White House as a slew of rappers were invited to come talk about President Barack Obama’s “My Brother’s Keeper” initiative. We hear Rick Ross’ ankle monitor went off right after POTUS finished his speech. More inside….

Before President Barack Obama leaves office, he did something no other president has done before. A few days ago, POTUS invited a slew of rappers to visit the White House where they chopped it up about President O’s “My Brother’s Keeper” initiative and criminal justice reform.

The president launched the “My Brother’s Keeper” initiative to address persistent opportunity gaps faced by boys and young men of color and ensure that all young people can reach their fullest potential.

To help with spreading the word, rapper Rick Ross and superproducer DJ Khaled got all dressed up to attend the presidential event.

By the way, Rick Ross’ ankle monitor went off! Yes, that really happened. According to TMZ, Rozay’s ankle monitor started beeping shortly after President Obama wrapped his speech as the room fell quiet. Lordt! Apparently, the MMG honcho has a new ankle monitor that beeps randomly.

Others in attendance included Nicki Minaj, Common, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, J. Cole, Pusha T, Busta Rhymes, Wale, Ludacris, Timbaland and Janelle Monae. Peep pics and videos from the White House below:
