Elizabeth Banks’s Hunger Games Premiere Gilded Headband Has Us Swooning

Published

on

It’s hard to imagine that Elizabeth Banks could ever one-up her amazing Elie Saab Couture gown worn to last year’s Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 premiere (here’s a refresher). But she may have done just that with, well, another Elie Saab Couture ensemble! The actress kicked her final Hunger Games series promo tour off wearing an elegant gilded headpiece and colorful ball gown that once again, is going to be hard to top.

Banks attended the world premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 in Berlin on Wednesday wearing a gold leaf appliqué headpiece woven into her low chignon. The standout accessory complemented the gold chain straps and belt of her gown.

She chose a floral-print Elie Saab Couture ballgown with a swirling sheer overlay, teamed with minimal jewelry and sparkling, rosy makeup — just enough to play up her accessories without outdoing them.

The star was so excited about her headpiece she couldn’t resist taking a snap before she hit the carpet, posting an Instagram modeling her “head gear.”

And if you’re already dying for more promo tour style, judging by her shoe-gram, there’s a lot more to come! (We bet those sneakers were tempting, but she ended up choosing a black satin pair by Brian Atwood.)

Her stylists Nicole and Wendi Ferreira told PeopleStyle Banks is anything but predictable. “She’s got such a good attitude about the fact that this is not the last red carpet she’s ever going to walk, so she has a lot of fun with it which I think works in her favor. Because she’s not always trying to be safe and that’s what makes her so much fun and makes her so exciting to see. I feel like people get excited that she’s got something coming up and are excited for the Hunger Games press tour because they don’t know what to expect.”

Don’t think that the rest of the cast slouched on the drama, however. Jennifer Lawrence chose a plunging, cutout Dior Haute Couture dress with a textured low bun; Julianne Moore wore a Jason Wu fringed gown with an updo and Jena Malone sparkled in a plunging, embellished Reem Acra gown.

The track, a precursor to his highly anticipated album 4eva Us, Neva Them, showcases Dugg’s signature style and lyrical prowess. In the brand new single, produced by FLEXONTHEBEAT, TyMaz, and Marshak, Dugg calls out those who try to ride his wave without putting in the work, cementing his stance in the rap game. The release is accompanied by an official music video directed by Counter Point, where Dugg and his crew dominate the streets and clubs of Detroit, visually reinforcing his message of loyalty and resilience.
