Five: Current Cleansers

Published

on

I realise that it’s actually not all that often that I talk about skincare on the blog at the moment, mostly because I’ve been pretty consistently sticking to using the same products until their finished – rather than chopping and changing all the time. But I thought it would be good to do a little summary of the cleanser type products I have in my life at the moment and why I’m loving them so much. So this post is dedicated to my current cleansers – and why I love them.

Super Facialist by Une Brennan Vitamin C Brighten Skin Renew Cleansing Oil * – Quite a mouth-full of a name, but a product I loved on first use (I should have included it in my ‘WOW’ products video really). I am partial to a cleansing oil, finding some feel great at first but can leave the skin feeling like it has residue if they don’t rinse away as easily. This is not the case with this one, it feels lovely to use and as a bonus – smells fabulous too. Very fresh – and the perfect ‘pick me up’ skincare step.

Bioderma Crealine H20 – The muched-hyped water-like cleanser. This for me wasn’t an instant love to be honest, but it did grow on me and now I wouldn’t be without it. It’s the perfect speedy cleanse, leaving skin feeling fresh and clean instantly and simply. Can be used all over – for eyes and all over the face. It just does a great job at taking make-up off quickly. I tend to use either this or the oil cleanser to remove make-up, before going for a second cleanse at the end of the day. But in the morning, just do the single cleanse step.

Ren Rosa Centifolia Cleansing Gel – This has been a part of my routine since I tried it last year and I’m not on to my second bottle. I love how light and gel like this is (since it’s a gel…that does make sense). But basically what I’m trying to say is that it feels fresh to use – so I’ve been loving this in the morning as a refresher or at night.

Naobay Moisturising Peeling * – It’s not strictly a cleanser I guess as is technically an exfoliator. But I consider this to be part of my cleansing routine as is one I use along with this lot a couple of times a week. This is a scrubby exfoliator (as opposed to chemicals/AHAs) but very fine granuals – so doesn’t feel at all harsh to use. I always use this on skin I’ve already dried rather than wet as find it leaves skin feeling softer when I do it this way. Basically this is the best exfoliator I can remember as it’s so gentle but leaves skin smoother than a baby’s bum (or as close to this as possible).

Smashbox It’s a Wrap Waterproof Eyemake-up Remover *- I reviewed this alongside another eye make-up remover HERE – so feel free to have a read if you want a bit more detail. But basically this is my current eye make-up remover of choice – simply, it works. What’s not to like about that?!

That’s it on my cleansing wardrobe front.. I’m off to use the Oil and the Scrub tonight for a bit of a mini-pamper! What cleansers are your current loves – tell me any must-tries below!

Not everyone can be a winner. Detroit native and hip-hop sensation 42 Dugg is back with a fiery new single, Win Wit Us. The track, a precursor to his highly anticipated album 4eva Us, Neva Them, showcases Dugg’s signature style and lyrical prowess. In the brand new single, produced by FLEXONTHEBEAT, TyMaz, and Marshak, Dugg calls out those who try to ride his wave without putting in the work, cementing his stance in the rap game. The release is accompanied by an official music video directed by Counter Point, where Dugg and his crew dominate the streets and clubs of Detroit, visually reinforcing his message of loyalty and resilience. Dugg raps in the hard-hitting track:

All of sudden they wanna win wit us / But ain’t spin with us.

Dugg previously teased this new era of his music with a trailer featuring Hill Harper, further building anticipation among his fans. “Win Wit Us” follows a series of recent hits including Wock N Red, SpinDatBac, and Go Again. Earlier this year, Dugg made a triumphant return to the stage with a sold-out “Welcome Home” show at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena, featuring appearances by superstars like Meek Mill, Yo Gotti, Lil Baby, and more. Notably, the event saw Dugg unite Detroit’s rival hip-hop factions, Doughboyz Cashout and Team Eastside, in a historic move to end the city’s East-West beef. Fans can expect even more groundbreaking music from Dugg as he gears up for his upcoming album. Don’t miss out on the latest single available for streaming here and watch the music video below.
