Ghostface Killah and DOOM Perform as DOOMSTARKS at III Points
When Ghostface Killah and DOOM team up, they’re DOOMSTARKS, and last night, they performed together at III Points Festival in Miami. This wasn’t a typical performance: DOOM appeared on a live screen “from the other side of time” and was “transported Star Trek-style directly onto the III Points Festival stage” (per the festival’s press release). Watch footage from the set below.
Footage from the set reveals that DOOM and Ghostface performed separately, though DOOM’s mask was present on the screen behind Ghost’s performances. Since DOOM wasn’t actually on stage, it’s unclear how much of his performance was canned, though it’s worth noting that he specifically shouts out the Miami crowd a few times. No footage of new DOOMSTARKS material has surfaced—thus far it’s both rappers performing older material (from Mm.. Food, “Gazzillion Ear”, Wu-Tang hits, and so forth).
Recently, the duo released “Lively Hood”, a track produced by DOOM and released as part of the Adult Swim Singles program.
