Has @SoCalGas Abused Their Power To The Point A Lawsuit Is In Their Future?
Big companies are certainly powerful resources for millions of Americans and not exclusive to just the 50 states that over 300 million people inhabit. Walmart, Ford or Remax, which are some of the most powerful businesses in this country and around the world have one thing in common and that is they provide services and basic human needs that can also be summarized as tools for survival.
Today comes news that a customer of SoCalGas is quite unhappy with the service and was left in duress as she was cut off after allegedly making a payment arrangement with the gas company that provides gas services to the almost 30 million people in southern California. The woman claims that she made a payment with the fortune 500 company and to no avail, the woman was unsuccessful with having a reasonable discourse. The issue is not just the said client. It’s much bigger than that. When you have a company that supplies such a crucial need for survival refusing to use customer service 101 you have a company that in the long run could quite possibly become liable for damages tor the people they “serve”
This country is not a place that is one size fits all. There are many different types of living situations in North America that has an undeniable and dire poverty issue that is not exclusive to any area. California has the highest rate of homeless people in all of the 50 states. Wish is a clear indication that it doesn’t take as much as we might think for one to spiral into a status that could lead to homelessness which hurts the economy as California has one of the highest numbers of people who are currently receiving welfare benefits which as of 2014 was .109,631,000 people who are unable to live without some form of financial assistance. When you read the number and you think of a company as large as this one denying the basic human needs the people they serve based on a serious lack of customer service 101. The customer is always right and if there is no sign of abuse on the customer’s record this basic rule should definitely be applied.
Let’s all ponder how many people have run into this issue with SoCalGas? Do you think a company that serves almost 30 million people would not or could not ever make a mistake? Some mistakes are very costly, like not making a payment plan and on the flip side of that not allowing a customer to be heard or accommodated based on our big business number 1 rule could also be extremely costly as well.
As of now, the lawsuit has not been filed but something tells me it’s not far-fetched to assume that in the near future one could be. Every human has the right to be given the benefit of the doubt. SoCalGas needs to remember that California is already struggling financially and when big businesses forget the basics it is not just a failure but a contribution to poverty and the underlying issues we are having right now in America where people are struggling just to feed themselves.
Shame on SoCalGas or should I say Patrica Wagner for not understanding the state her company resides in and for allowing her executives and customer service reps to literally act as though they are “GOD” well even:”GOD” acknowledged flaws…. at least that is what the bible says about his son.

It is a Sound that I felt was perfect to write this musical letter to connect. – My key influences I would have to say would be Love, Heartbreak, Triumph,Fast Living & Nightlife battling to find myself in who I am as an artist while dealing with love finding the balance.
