Sigler’s close friend, makeup artist Joey Maalouf, created a very soft and subtle look for the bride, who married her pro baseball player beau on Jan. 16 at the Parker Palm Springs in Palm Springs, Calif.

“Jamie is a natural beauty, so I emphasized her inner glow with dewy skin and glossy eyelids, paired with lots of lashes and a nude lip for a touch of glam,” Maalouf tells PeopleStyle.

As for her hair, Riawna Capri from 901 salon (another close friend of the bride’s) opted for an intricate up-do, which was understated from the front and woven at that back. For the ceremony, Sigler let her hair down.

“It always starts with the dress, and for her first gown we wanted to have it all up and away to just showcase Jamie’s face when she saw Cutter at the end of the aisle,” Capri tells PeopleStyle. “She wanted it all up and romantically textured for the aisle, and softly relaxed and down for her dress change at the reception.”

Sigler selected a strapless Oscar de la Renta gown and jewelry by Forevermark Diamonds, and when she walked down the aisle “her friends stood in awe of her beauty and grace,” a guest tells PeopleStyle.

And while the party went off with out a hitch, the guest adds that there was one small hiccup before the ceremony.

“While getting ready the photographer had asked to hang the dress outside the balcony for a photo op — we came seconds away from losing the Oscar de la Renta gown, as the dog had lifted the leg ready to urinate on it,” the insider says. “Jamie was calm cool and collected on the day of.”

In this week’s issue, Sigler tells PEOPLE that she and Dykstra wanted their big day to be “laid-back, not fancy, because that’s who we are as a couple.”

The bride searched Etsy with her best friend for ideas and even went to Home Goods, where she bought hundreds of votives for a candle-lit evening.
