Atlantic City’s 40/40 Club, co-owned by hip-hop star Jay Z, has reportedly closed. According to The Press of Atlantic City, the club has been shut down since October of 2012 when its lease expired. Ron Berkowitz, club spokesman, revealed that Hurricane Sandy flooded the facility and tore a hole in the roof around the same time the lease was set to end.

“There was a big hole in the roof as well,” Berkowitz said. “With the end of the lease and with Sandy, we decided we had a great run, and it was time to move on.”

“Our leasing team is actively and diligently working to bring a great new tenant into the space. Stay tuned,” said Cristin Bentz, assistant general manager for Tanger Outlets The Walk.
