Léa Seydoux Is the New Face of Louis Vuitton

Published

on

Over the past couple years, Léa Seydoux has transformed from indie darling to full-blown silver screen siren, making her leading lady status official in films like Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol and as the newest Bond girl in Spectre. But no actress’s reinvention into total Hollywood It-girl would be complete without the backing of a major fashion brand, and Seydoux has accomplished just that, landing a role as the new face of Louis Vuitton.

The actress has already proven time and time again on the red carpet her ability to make even a super couture Louis Vuitton creation look totally effortless and ever so slightly edgy. But now the Blue Is The Warmest Color star will get to bring her advanced sense of style to bear on the brand’s clothing professionally, joining the ranks of similarly downtown-chic ladies like Alicia Vikander, Michelle Williams, Jennifer Connelly and Doona Bae as a Louis Vuitton ambassador.

For her first role in this new official capacity, the actress will accompany the house’s creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière, at the Unicef Ball on January 12 wearing a custom-made design for the occasion.

In the press release for the announcement, Seydoux gushes,“I feel extremely proud at the thought of representing such a strong symbol of French elegance, an iconic brand whose initials are known the world over. I deeply admire Nicolas Ghesquière’s work, especially his newness. His incessant search for novelty is also highly impressive.”

Are you excited to see Léa Seydoux as the new face of Louis Vuitton? What other actresses would you love to see wearing the brand?
