Luis Rivera, father of controversial 9-year old rapper Lil Poopy, received good news on the legal front this week. Brockton police filed an abuse and neglect complaint against Rivera in February, due to his young son’s appearance in sexualized and risque rap videos. But the department found no proof of abuse.

“The Department did not find evidence to support the allegations of abuse or neglect,” said a Department of Children and Families spokeswoman.

“[The decision is] complete vindication. … They knew this was going to be the outcome,” Rivera attorney Joseph Krowski, Jr. said. “They were just a little annoyed the government got involved to the extent that it did.”

“If that’s their finding, that’s the end of it,” said police Lt. Mark Porcaro.
