Lyrical Lexx – “I Cannot”

Published

on

Today Seattle rapper Lyrical Lexx delivers his new single, “I Cannot.” The single is a somber reminder that he can’t let people bring him down on his rise to the top. “I Cannot” follows in a musical lane similar to other emo-rappers that have battled through personal struggles and have a resilient message for fans.

“I always listened to music as a kid, and I always used music to help me cope and deal with what I was going through,” Lyrical Lexx said. “For me I do music based on how I’m feeling. If I’m feeling a certain type way my music is affected by how my mood at any given time.”

With so many positive things happening for Lyrical Lexx musically, “I Cannot” is a personal song that Lexx hopes motivates fans in their own life too.

“I Cannot basically was just having me fun with the beat and talking about some of the things that are going well for me in my life. I have a bunch of things that are going well for me right now and a lot of times when you have that happen people try to bring you down,” Lyrical Lexx said.

Recording, producing and rapping his own lyrics, Lyrical Lexx is a completely self-made artist.

“Honestly I’ve been independent since I started. For the past few years, since I’ve been taking it seriously, I self record, I do have my brother as an engineer, but now I’m starting to work with Mr. Lee and so now I’m starting to put together some of that music,” he said.

In addition to his rap career Lyrical Lexx is also working on opening his own studio just 30 minutes outside of the Seattle area.

“I’m building my own studio and I’m working on trying to develop that in the Washington state area. It’s just about 30 minutes outside of Seattle and it’s going to be called, Lexicon Studios.”

New Music: Youth Soul Love – Phases

YOUTH SOUL LOVE releases “PHASES” off his new album “SOULMATE”. I selected the title SOULMATE because I feel like it was something that represents my name & artistry YOUTH SOUL LOVE, It connects with my Young & mature audience bringing them back to the main objective and focus on planet earth which i believe LOVE. where I’m at as an Artist and the times were in. I feel like people are not speaking about love or singing about what comes along with love and I wanted to express my feelings a little bit less in Rap to actually deliver my stories in R&B, electronic and dance form. showcasing my ability to be diverse,You’re going to catch some Rap. You will catch some country, but I feel like this Iconic R&B sound is something soulful that the listeners could gravitate to, all the time when trying to find that special person who is their soulmate. I also went with the title because I feel like “Soulmate” was an amazing addition to my discography. I love everything around the name SOUL, whether it’s “SOUL NOT FOR SALE” or “SOULMATE”. My listeners know that they’re still in my book of discography and soulmate is just another chapter for the listeners and the lovers to connect with me.

The genre borrowed from multiple forms, but I would definitely say this is a new chapter of R&B/Melodic Rap, Being that Melodic Rap is a new genre for the new generation.

It is a Sound that I felt was perfect to write this musical letter to connect. – My key influences I would have to say would be Love, Heartbreak, Triumph,Fast Living & Nightlife battling to find myself in who I am as an artist while dealing with love finding the balance. Marques Houston Returns To R&B With New Single “Last Drop”

Marques Houston returns to R&B after a two-year break with the buzzing new single “Last Drop.”

The 42-year-old entertainer is making a strong comeback with his new track from the upcoming album The Best Worst Year Ever. “Last Drop” is a romantic serenade that interpolates Tevin Campbell’s “Can We Talk.”

Houston sings, “I wanna be the one that you call when you’re feeling low / I wanna be the one you can call on, girl, that’s for sure.”

“I wanted to get back to my nostalgic roots by paying homage to one of my favorite songs of all time, ‘Can We Talk’ by Tevin Campbell,” said Houston about making the new track. “I love the way that song makes me feel and the power it has to take me back to a moment of my many crushes as a teen. I wanted to create a rendition of the song and make it today’s generation’s soundtrack for their crushes.”

“Last Drop” was co-written by Houston and Ryan Hirt, with Jeffrey Toney on production. The song’s video pays homage to classic R&B visuals, featuring scenes of Houston dancing and singing in the rain.

“Last Drop” follows the release of “Admit It” in January. Both tracks will be featured on Houston’s upcoming album, due later this year. Additionally, he is expected to announce a headlining tour soon.

His new project follows his 2022 EP, ME: Dark Water, which included collaborations with Ray J and Monteco. With “Last Drop,” Houston aims to reignite the excitement he once stirred as “Batman” of the 1990s boy band Immature, later known as IMx. This new single, released via Phoenix Music Group, marks his return to the music scene.
