This Labor Day weekend for the Obamas is a total family affair.

President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and their daughters Sasha and Malia got dressed in all-black to attend White House chef/longtime friend Sam Kass’ nuptials to MSNBC host Alex Wagner on Saturday.

After President Obama attended three Democratic Party fundraisers on Friday, the First Family boarded Air Force One to make their way to Blue Hill at Stone Barns restaurant in Pocantico Hills, New York for the wedding ceremony.

You definitely have to be close to the President in order to get a RSVP from the leader of the free world and his family. And its apparent how close they are since the fab First Fam were all in attendance for the White House chef’s big day. According to the Daily Mail, Sam began preparing meals for the Obamas when they lived in Chicago. Then in 2009, they persuaded him to come to the White House, making him one of their longest-serving aides.

Clearly, the President and Sam have developed a close friendship over the years. So much so, the 34-year-old chef is a regular on the golf course with the Commander in Chief. And earlier this month, it was reported POTUS spent about five hours at Sam’s apartment, spending some time with the groom during his final days as a bachelor. Nice!
