In a fresh bid to expand her brand, Rihanna teamed up with River Island to design a capsule collection. And finally, last weekend, RiRi debuted her clothing line for the U.K.-based retailer at the London Fashion Week.

As predicted, the singer-turned-designer had channeled her gangsta-glam aesthetic and personal style into the collection. The look showcased a range of bold pieces which include ‘90s-inspired floral prints, crop tops, and jersey maxi dresses among others. There were also plenty of RiRi-at-the-Grammy style outfits!

Rihanna’s River Island received mixed reviews from fashion critics. The Daily Beast described the look as something that lacked “an ounce of panache or style between them,” adding that it was a “Fright Night in Kmart.” Rihanna said before that she wanted her line to be “casual, chic, and flirty,” so MTV thought it “hit nail right on the head.” Meanwhile, here’s the verdict of Anne-Marie Curtis, ELLE’s Fashion Director:

“OK, I’ll be honest; when I heard Rihanna was doing a collection for River Island, my first reaction was, ‘Great, but not for me.’ I’m a big fan of her music but my perception of her style was squarely rooted in the raunchy stage wear and street style that are synonymous with her image. How wrong I was.”

The Bajan beauty made a quick appearance alongside costume designer Adam Selman with whom she worked on the collection.

Rihanna for River Island hits stores on March 5.
