Z-Major – Getting Older @ZMajor_music

Published

on

“Getting Older” is Z-Major’s latest single. A song that also means so much to him. His mother got him started playing piano at a very young age, which is the fuel for his love and passion for music. Unfortunately, his mother passed away in March of 2014. Which is also the reason he decided to release this single in March five years later.

He claims that this was his hardest song to write and record, as it took him over two years to finish the record. The music video takes you through the story of Z-Major as a child growing up with a very ill but loving mother. The video even throws in real clips of him and his mother from old home videos. He dedicates this song to his guardian angel, Denise Koclanes.

Z-Major is a genre innovator, born and raised in Saint Louis, MO’ a stomping ground for many different styles of music. Ranging from Hip Hop stars such as Nelly, all the way to Chuck Berry and the Blues. Z-Major started playing music at a very young age, playing instruments such as piano, guitar, trumpet, cello and drums. From there he began to form multiple different rock bands he would play and write music with, and by the age of fourteen was already performing. Through his years of playing and growing as an artist, Z-Major grew to love all music, especially Hip Hop and Rock. Before getting started in music production himself, he linked up with a local music producer and entered Futuristic’s One Take Rap Contest online, although he did not place this gained him a lot of recognition and buzz. Soon after he released his debut EP “These Are The Days” in April 2016 under his current name “Z-Major.”

Today Z-Major is an artist, self taught producer, and songwriter. Crossing over genres such as Hip Hop, Alternative Rock, R&B, EDM etc. As his own producer he is able to be in full control of his creative process. Because of this you’ll hear everything from rap vocals, to catchy melodies, and even acoustic singer songwriter styles. Influences including but not limited to Linkin Park, Post Malone, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Queen, Eminem, Bring Me The Horizon and so many more. Now with many singles and music videos under his discography, Z-Major is a well established artist and is on the rise. With his most recent work released March 1st, 2019 “Getting Older” which is some of his strongest work to date. Not only is he creating his own music, but now he’s also working with other artists producing and engineering for other talent as well. Z-Major is a young, passionate, multi talented artist everyone should be on the lookout for in the near future.
