Published

on

Howard Law Student Quron Payne released an inspirational single titled “Be Something” for the dreamers. After taking a break from the music scene, to pursue an education, Quron Payne said, “I always planned on returning to music. It’s my passion. It’s my love. But being astute in the music business has taught me that “education” is an important part of the business”.

The multi-talented artist not only delivers motivational messages within his music but also expands on his creativity by helping co-direct the visuals for “Be Something” with cinematographer @CTMFILMSTV.

When asked “why the return now?”, Quron responded, “Law school has expanded my thinking, and Howard University Law School has inshrined in me the importance of advocating in all areas. There may be a scholar out there who is scared to shine as bright as they can because of a perceived social conflict between their passion and chosen occupation, but I’m here to tell them people are going to talk regardless, and that’s those people’s problem. Not you your’s, it’s your job to Be Something”. You only get one life.

Massachusetts Corey Hales serenades guests at a backyard boogie by the pool in the new visual for his latest single “Cool It Down.” In the Caleb Edens-directed visual, Hales blends various genres with his soulful R&B vocals over classical instrumental and pop-folk vibe. As the days turn to night in the latest visual, Hales’ performance certifies him as an artist-to-watch as we wined down 2022.

Hales on the making of “Cool It Down”: “I bought a mustang and was living on my own for the first time in Charleston, but on a cruise home from my Monday gig I was left thinking about this girl I had just met at the show. I think we all have those moments in our head where we map out everything we wish we said to someone and that’s exactly when the record was born. It’s also the first song I had written as a newly single person after a 5 year relationship, so it’s my personal favorite because all of my memories associated with the song are still super fun and positive.”

“Cool It Down” prepares for the release fo the artist’s highly-anticipated upcoming album, coming soon. “Cool It Down” is available on all DSPs via CAH Music/Foundation Media. Stream it here. Want more Corey Hales? Follow the rising star on social media for up-to-the-minute news.

Pudge Capone’s musical journey is certainly a lesson in perseverance and resiliency. At one point, the Lebanon, Pennsylvania native was sitting behind bars, contemplating whether he was wasting his talent. That moment of clarity led to him honing his craft and focusing all of his energy on launching his career upon release. For nearly 4 years since he has been a full-time artist, Pudge Capone has collaborated with the likes of Fatboy SSE and amassed well over 100K streams on Apple Music alone. This is all the more remarkable considering his limited number of musical releases. Often splitting his time between Pennsylvania and New York City, Washington Heights specifically, Pudge has built a strong network of creatives to collaborate with from both states that help bring his art to life.

Now ready to take the leap and take his career to greater heights, Pudge Capone has unveiled his first official project in the form of the 4-track EP, “Blood, Sweat & Tears.” The project finds Pudge sharing his journey with raw emotion that resonates with listeners. He also released the first official visual from the project with the TH Media-directed clip for Keep Fighting. Pudge expounds on not getting the recognition he deserves on the song and persevering nonetheless.
