Lexa Gates Announces Sophomore Album “I Am” With Haunting Single “Estranged”

Truth doesn’t always break loudly. Lexa Gates channels drifting away hearts on the moody new single Estranged. The Queens-born rapper, singer, and producer bends vulnerability into power as she examines love dissolving under the glow of ambition. Set against hypnotic, shadowy production, her voice moves with raw precision as she paints the emotional cost of distance and the strength it takes to name it. Her lyrical sharpness, genre-blending ease, and magnetic presence creates relatability and a bold step into a destiny of lime-lights.

The track arrives, part confession, part release, ushering in her sophomore album I Am, arriving January 16. Reflecting her growing artistic confidence, “Estranged” adds new depth to a run of 2025 singles including Nothing To Worry About and the Emilie Haynie–produced Past It. Her single Latency, produced by Jasper Harris and Aaron Shadrow, recently crossed nearly 1 million global streams, adding fuel to a breakout stretch. Pre-order “I Am” now and follow Lexa Gates next chapter on Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube.
