Amber Mark Channels Y2K R&B Magic On “Too Much”

Critically adored singer, songwriter, and producer Amber Mark slips into Y2K-inspired R&B bliss with Too Much. The sweetly romantic track reimagines Usher and Alicia Keys’ 2004 classic My Boo into a sultry meditation on on-again, off-again love. Producers KingJet, Chase.wav, and Julian Bunetta, blend funky guitars and hip-hop grooves with Mark’s timeless vocal stylings. “Too Much” showcases Mark’s love for classic R&B while affirming her knack for making nostalgia feel brand new. As the newest single from her forthcoming sophomore album Pretty Idea, Mark shared:

This album carries many highs and lows and lessons I didn’t know I needed. Consider this my way of turning all my bad ideas into Pretty ones.

“Too Much” cements her reputation as one of today’s most underrated but essential pop voices. Her playful yet tender delivery laces the song with honesty, longing, and undeniable groove. Due October 10, “Pretty Idea” also features the sticky single Sweet Serotonin and the hypnotic Let Me Love You. Stream “Too Much” now and catch Amber Mark on tour starting October 23. Follow her on TIKTOK, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, YOUTUBE, and X.
