This past Sunday the Black Girls Rock Award Show aired on BET, this years award show was filled with nothing but great performances from the beginning to the end. Janelle Monae opened the show with an energizing performance of “Electric Lady”, but the most talked about performance was from the legendary Patti Labelle. She performed “You Are My Friend” and the performance began with a dance number from talented dancer Misty Copeland. Other performances included Ledisi, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Rowland and many others.
