Police are searching for a man who allegedly tried to rape a woman on the 3 train in Hamilton Heights.
The 21-year-old woman was riding the northbound train around 4 p.m. on Thursday when she noticed the man masturbating, police said. She then moved to another car, but he followed her, forced her onto a seat and tried to rape her.
When the train pulled into the 148th street station, the suspect ran off.
