Last week, he brought you “Nintey Seven”, this week, D.V. Alias Khryst brings you the Sirplus-produced single, “Seven”, which speaks more about how shady the industry can be. Even though both tracks are out individually, Khryst believes he didn’t need a hook or a fancy melody to create these two in particular. There are some numerology in the title tracks, considering that 9+7= 16 thus 1+6=7, so both singles come out to be 77, the year he was born. “I named the song ‘Ninety Seven’ because my son was born 2 years after,” Khryst explains. “’96 was my Def Jam deal and ’97 was when my career started moving.” You can hear both tracks out now on Spotify.
