Sun dresses are my go-to for hot summer days and though I really appreciate the beauty of their simplicity, they can get a little drab. To punch up the volume on an otherwise simple sun dress, I’ve paired it with an unexpected shoe choice.

You can really mix it up with any unconventional shoe, maybe a modern flat or tomboy brogues/sneakers. My weapon of choice are platform oxfords, because, I’m vertically challenged and anything I can do to add 5 inches to my height is a must in my book.

Also, don’t mind the dog cameo —Charlie is somewhat big on photo-bombing.
