In many eyes, Sarah Jessica Parker can do no wrong. The actress who seemingly embodied Carrie Bradshaw in HBO’s “Sex and the City” is beloved for her carefree sense of style. Her style is admired so much that she created a clothing line in the mid-2000s and, more recently, a shoe collection with Nordstrom.

The first collection was released for spring/summer 2014 and included 70s inspired ‘working women’ shoes. Her sophomore attempt is far less themed and directly inspired by people in her life.

As reported by Fashionista.com:

Less Carrie are the very fall-appropriate boots, including a simple suede ankle boot and two above-the-knee styles. They’re certainly elegant and, according to a release, inspired by real-life people Parker admires: There’s the Pat Boot, named for “Sex and the City”‘s legendary costume designer Patricia Field. “Without her contributions, Carrie Bradshaw would have been incomplete,” says Parker. There’s also the Serge Boot, named for her hairstylist of 14 years, Serge Normant.

While the collection as a whole is cohesive, it’s also incredibly boring. The most exciting shoe is probably the laser cut high boot, but it’s not something we haven’t seen before.

Marketability is everything these days, so we get the safe approach. But the collection is soo safe, it’s not distinct or worth shelling the $285 to $695 for. Get a look at the whole collection for yourself, here.
