Apparently it’s a week for heartbreaking dude hair makeovers: Matt Damon lost his ponytail, while Brian Austin Green shaved off all his beautiful teen-idol hair. But — steel yourself — this one may take the prize for “most distressing.”
That’s right: Max Greenfield, better known to many as Schmidt on New Girl, is a freshly minted bleach blond. We’ll get into the reasons for that in a minute, but first let’s get another angle for good measure.

How are you feeling? Pretty good? A little anxious? Fortunately, the new do is only temporary — it’s for his role in American Horror Story: Hotel — and to be totally fair, Ryan Murphy did warn us that something like this might happen.
