When an heiress and an heir decide to tie the knot, you know the ring will be enormous, the venue will be fancy (yep, it’s Kensington Palace — you know, where Prince William and Princess Kate live) and the fashion will be serious. So Thursday night, when Nicky Hilton stepped out in three different long-sleeve white mini dresses (and sister Paris Hilton wore a thigh-high slit) ahead of her weekend nuptials to James Rothschild, we were fully paying attention.
To greet guests landing in London, Nicky wore a lace long-sleeve Giambattista Valli mini with a magenta beaded midsection, with her hair down in loose waves. Paris was clad in a Jean Fares Couture drop-waist dress with red and sheer paneling. The duo posed in cute Instagrams with their “new British sis” Kate Rothschild.
Then for a pre-wedding lunch, Nicky wore a long-sleeve white dress from Valentino (also rumored to be her wedding dress designer) with laser-cut details (as seen in bridesmaid, Brooke Wiederhorn’s Instagram).
Paris, for her part, wore a black-and-white printed day dress with coordinating accessories.
And finally, Nicky changed into the fanciest variation of the look for the pre-wedding dinner Thursday night, a dress featuring lace embroidery and sheer netting around the faux turtleneck, with her hair pulled up back into a curled, elegant pony. But she wasn’t the only one at the bash looking chic.

Chelsea Clinton arrived with her husband Marc Mezvinsky wearing an understated emerald flared-sleeve dress with drop pendant necklace and peep toe pumps. But it was Naomi Campbell (!) who stunned in a dress that may be more stop-and-stare than the bride’s, selecting a shimmering gold mini with cutouts and equally sparkly heels.
And finally, Paris wore a sultry black sequined gown with deep V-neck and thigh-high slit (she’s got to get all the sexy out of her system before she dons her bridesmaid dress this weekend — she told PEOPLE she’ll be in “whatever she [Nicky] wants me to wear”).
In keeping with the high-class theme of the wedding, the couple’s registry has been reported by E! to total a crazy expensive $28,000 and includes the likes of four John Derian lamps ($1,300 apiece), $700 worth of books and a $300 toaster. But we could only find this (admittedly sketchy) Bloomingdale’s registry that includes items like a $150 lipstick sculpture (are we sure this isn’t Paris’s dream registry?).
