Prince will play a concert in Baltimore this Sunday to honor Freddie Gray, as CBS reports. He’ll be joined by his band, 3RDEYEGIRL.
“In a spirit of healing, the event is meant to be a catalyst for pause and reflection following the outpouring of violence that has gripped Baltimore and areas throughout the U.S,” he said in a press release. “As a symbolic message of our shared humanity and love for one another, attendees are invited to wear something gray in tribute to all those recently lost in the violence.”
The concert will take place at Baltimore’s Royal Farms Arena. Last week, reports surfaced that Prince recorded a tribute called “Baltimore”, though that song has not yet been released. Check out the event poster below via Spin.
