Princess Beatrice has been known to make headlines for her controversial choice of millinery in the past. But at a glamorous society wedding in Rome this weekend, the young royal’s topper ticked all the right boxes.
For the lavish nuptials of London pals Joseph Getty and Sabine Ghanem in Rome on Saturday, the 26-year-old royal chose a stylish pale pink dress with a matching hat from British milliner, Juliette Botterill. The “Silk Feather Flower Teardrop” design, which retails for £470, was made in a “couple of days,” confirms a spokesperson for the milliner.

As stylish as Beatrice looked in her floral hat and blush-pink dress, there was absolutely no chance of stealing the limelight from the stunning bride. The London-based, Egyptian-Lebanese jeweler and newest member of the Getty dynasty wore a bespoke cream Schiaparelli gown under a dramatic floor-length hooded cape which featured a giant golden sun motif. Charlotte Olympia shoes with matching gold embroidery finished the sun-kissed look.
The two-day affair which started on Friday with a “Dangerous Liaisons”-themed fancy-dress party (Beatrice chose a medieval style blue dress complete with an ostrich feathered clutch bag) ended Saturday night with a “Magic Mirrors”-themed party where the bride changed into a jewel-encrusted dress with marabou trim. As one guest told PEOPLE: “It was an amazing wedding — like a fairytale.”
