The past few weeks of Olympic grandeur have been giving us all sorts of inspiration. From wanting to try out all kinds of new winter activities–seriously, curling kind of looks fun–to figuring out how to dress like an ice skater in real life, we don’t want Sochi to end. Sadly, the closing ceremony is this Sunday. But we’ll have lots to remember, starting with the wardrobe Ralph Lauren created for the 2014 U.S. winter Olympians. In fact, we’ve gotten all kinds of style inspiration, especially from one of our favorite sports, skiing.
Want to get the right outfit for the slopes? It’s not hard. No one is saying wear Olympic style-uniforms on the slopes at Vail; instead we’re going for a more wearable snow bunny chic. Luckily, there’s still plenty of time for winter activities (both indoor and outdoor.)
So whether you’re hitting the slopes and channeling your favorite Olympian, or relaxing inside the ski lodge with a good book and a glass of red, here are two ski bunny outfits that make us think twice about wishing for a swift end to winter. (Stick around, polar vortex. Stay awhile…)
When it comes to outdoor sports, especially in the winter months, function always takes precedence over fashion. Luckily, these are all stylish choices that serve both purposes.
