Homixide Gang Shatters Limits With “5G”

If sound could bleed chaos, this would be the wreckage. Opium’s riotous rap duo Homixide Gang, made up of Homixide Meechie and Homixide Beno!, erupt back onto the scene with their new single 5G, a sonic inferno laced with Smashing PumpkinsCherub Rock. Searing guitars, a blistering drop, and brutal flows collide in a genre-bending rage-rap anthem that channels both punk spirit and southern hip-hop swagger. Shot once again by Gunner Stahl—who captured the original mixtape artwork—the full-circle visual nods to their roots while signaling their evolution. The accompanying Fight Club-inspired video furthers the track’s volatile tone—leaning into the same violent rebellion that made Homixide Lifestyle an underground mainstay. Meechie hinted in a teaser clip shared on socials:

We just wanted to take that chaos and make it louder, make it ours.

The drop of “5G” comes alongside the official cover reveal for their long-awaited sequel project Homixide Lifestyle 2, set to arrive this August. Already teased during high-octane sets at Rolling Loud California and Summer Smash Chicago, the album is rumored to include features from other Opium labelmates, dialing fan anticipation to a fever pitch. With a sold-out China tour and viral energy across ComplexCon, Rolling Loud Miami, and their 22-city North American run, the duo’s momentum is unmistakable. “Homixide Lifestyle 2” is shaping up to be more than a return—it’s a takeover.
