Savannah rapper Clay James reaches 2 million plays on SoundCloud and over 250,000 views on Facebook
Savannah, Georgia wordsmith and entrepreneur ‘Clay James’ recently went viral on Facebook for a series of freestyles that were posted by Born Famous, which is a hip hop media page that has a niche for finding tomorrow’s next big acts before the rest of the world finds out about them. James’ videos on this blog have accumulated over 250,000 views and caused his Facebook fan page to increase over 1000%. Since going viral on Facebook, Clay James’ streams and views have seen an increase on a number of platforms. But the platform that has stood out the most was Soundcloud. James’ recently hit 2.2 million plays on this app and is gaining a number of new fans globally. With noticeable increases in his YouTube views, Shazams, Audiomack, Spinrilla, Apple Music, and Spotify streams it may be safe to say it’s almost time for the Savannah native to ascend to the next level of his career and take his place amongst other rising stars coming out of the south.
