MusicNow Streams Comp Featuring Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes, Dirty Projectors
MusicNOW is a collaboration-focused music festival held each year in Cincinnati, Ohio, founded by the National’s Bryce Dessner. MusicNOW – 10 Years is a collection of recordings of performances from the festival, compiled to celebrate the festival’s tenth anniversary. It features Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, Grizzly Bear, Sufjan Stevens, Dirty Projectors, Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Andrew Bird, Owen Pallett, and more. Now, you can listen to the whole thing over at Pandora.
Above, listen to “Trials, Troubles, Tribulations”, performed by the supergroup Sounds of the South, including Vernon, Sharon Van Etten, Matthew E White, Megafaun, and Fight the Big Bull.
The compilation comes out March 10 via Brassland, right before this year’s festival takes place March 11-15. The lineup includes the National performing with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Dessner/Sufjan Stevens/Nico Muhly collaborative work Planetarium, Perfume Genius, Arcade Fire’s Will Butler, and more.
