DC rapper Fat Ju enlists Rarri and Fernando Triff for “Homies 2.0”
DC rapper and internet blogger Fat Ju has been quietly building buzz behind his latest track “Homie 2.0”, an updated version of his original “Homie” track.
Ju’s off-Beat & breathy style of rapping lends itself well to the soft emo Trap style beat chosen for this record. Rarri provides an instantly catchy hook as he croons to the listener about having lost his friends and how he will reconnect with his homies in the next life.
Fat Ju gives his all on the first verse and it shows as he raps with conviction and purpose, pulling from a real place of loss and love.
Fernando Triff comes through with the eccentric and abstract 2nd verse keeping the listener intrigued as both his and Fat Ju’s style meld in a very distinct and unique delivery.
This song isn’t going to be for every one but I do suggest everyone give it a listen; once it gets into your head you will find yourself singing the hook to yourself for better or for worse.
