Izye continues to bring the heat with latest single “Selena”

Bay Area native Izye is on a roll recently, and she’s following up her last epic album F**k Boy$, Get Money with a new great track titled “Selena”, which was inspired by one of the singer’s unrequited loves.

“There was a guy that I had met who I was very attracted to, but he was in a long term, committed relationship,” said Izye. “Of course, I would never make that step, but it makes for good song content.”

Sonically, Izye draws inspiration from pop icons such as JoJo, Ariana Grande, Tinashe and Jordin Sparks. Her powerful vocals are backed up by incredible production and engineering; “Selena” was produced by KundoCrankin’ of The Introvertz, who Izye has been working with since her last project.

Since she began writing songs at the age of 15, Izye’s talent has skyrocketed, and she’s only getting better. Her lyrical content started with a focus on hardship, heartbreak and the harsh realities of being a high school aged teen, but since dropping out of music school and moving to Hollywood, she’s been on an incredible grind that doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon.

“I’m still based in Hollywood, working at the restaurant by day and making music and being a superstar at night,” said Izye.

The superstar in the making has some big plans for the future. There are music videos in the works that are set to be released soon, and she’s been hitting the studio lately to collaborate with other artists and make more content. And, there may even be a complete sonic vibe switch coming soon, too. You’ll just have to stay tuned to the red hot, incredibly talented Izye.
