Glass House Brands, a major California based cannabis and hemp company, hosted an interactive smoke friendly R&B concert, live Q&A session and album listening party called “Smoking Weed Together Is A Love Language” at REVEL lounge in Hollywood. As February is the month of love, they collaborated with Grammy nominated singer Jon B who is known for creating “They Don’t Know”, “Someone to Love” and “Are You Down” featuring Tupac Shakur. He has been in the music game for almost 30 years and is still creating music at the highest level. It was a no-brainer for Glass House to partner with the Grammy nominated artist who is a cannabis aficionado and currently gearing up to release his highly anticipated 9th studio album.

As it has been 10 years since he released his last album, fans were in for a treat. Not only did participants get to interact with Jon B, but they also got to participate in a live Q&A session hosted by Glasshouse Senior Manager of Lifestyle and Culture Marketing Marcus Malone. As he candidly asked the singer about his upcoming album, love for cannabis and his 10 year hiatus from recording music, fans got to experience up close and personal why Jon B is a R&B legend.

One of the most intriguing questions that Malone asked Jon was about his experience working with Tupac in the studio to create their hit single “R U Still Down”. “Tupac would always be a ball of energy,” exclaimed Jon. “From the moment I got there I had all of my equipment I needed to produce the track myself and was ready to show him what I had, but before I did that I said play me something that you have or that you might have in my mind that I can rock over. The first beat he played was the beat for “R U Still Down” which was produced by the late Johnny J. That beat spoke to me right away and I just said this is my Marvin Gaye joint right here”. According to Jon the rest was history. He then began to gush about his new project “Waiting On You”, sharing that Rick Ross, Alex Isley, Donell Jones and Tank will be featured on his ninth studio album. Tank is featured on the lead single “Waiting For You” that is currently available for streaming.

Once the Q&A session wrapped, the Rhode Island native hit the stage with his live band and background singers. As the drinks were flowing, and smoke consumed the room, Jon B, performed all of his classic hits. Serenading the crowd in true Jon B fashion, with silky, soulful vocals, the R&B legend did not disappoint. In between songs fans got a chance to learn about his home life, as he dedicated a song to his wife of 17 years who was in attendance. As Glass House promised, Jon B performed material from his new album that had fans yearning for more. The event symbolized why “Smoking Weed Together Is A Love Language”.
