Today, on April 23rd, people worldwide have donned their denim in support of sexual assault awareness and abuse. “Denim Day” as it is known stems from a sexual assault case brought to the Italian court who ended up overturning the case because the accuser was wearing jeans when the assault happened. They further claimed that she must have unzipped and unbuttoned herself since she was wearing jeans which therefore made it consensual.
