5 Dresses That Prove Star Wars’ Daisy Ridley Is a Style Jedi

Published

on

Whether you’ve seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens or not (although, with $1 billion earned worldwide and counting, we’re not sure who has yet to see the film), you’ve no doubt been hearing the name Daisy Ridley a lot lately. We can’t get enough of Ridley’s badass character Rey — or her top-notch style. She’s a fashion chameleon, wearing everything from ruffled gowns to body-con cocktail dresses with ease. The Fashion Force is with her, if you will. Here, check out five gorgeous looks that, as far as we’re concerned, make her a style Jedi.

Like her Star Wars costar Lupita Nyong’o, Ridley has embraced the intergalactic theme for some of her red carpet choices. At the film’s London premiere, Ridley wore this custom one-shoulder Roland Mouret gown. From the celestial beading to the geometric cutout, this is one look that was seriously out of this world.

Ridley hasn’t shied away from super-feminine dresses either. For the most recent Star Wars premiere in Shanghai, Ridley chose a gorgeous high-neck purple gown with 3-D flowers from Jason Wu’s pre-fall 2016 collection (and her best accessory, BB-8). And at the world premiere in L.A., she went with a lacy, ruffled Chloé halter number, which she paired with Christian Louboutin pumps and an ultra-glam hair and makeup look.

The star has had some great non-gown moments too. For a Star Wars fan event in Tokyo, she wore a Chanel halter top with a tiered, multicolor midi skirt. And back in May, she went the sleek-and-sexy route in a green Michael Kors cocktail dress at a dinner hosted by the designer and Vanity Fair.

Are you as impressed with Ridley’s Star Wars style as we are? Which of her gorgeous dresses is your favorite? Let us know in the comments!

Mobby Rosas – “Up To Sum” f/ Westside Boogie (Video) + “The 4th Step” (Album)

Published

The track “up to sum” is one of my favorite stories of how a collaboration came about. WESTSIDE BOOGIE had posted an open verse challenge for his song “Mood” on instagram and I picked it up. I’ve done a few open verse challenges before, to no favorable outcome other than just posting more content. I didn’t think much would come of this verse entry. I recorded my video audition for the song while at work, I was a server at a hotel restaurant in downtown LA, in uniform and all. I posted it and tagged WS Boogie and to my surprise, he DM’d me saying that he thought my verse was hard and if I ever wanted him on a project, he was down. I remember reading the message at work and being in shock. I had wanted to work with WS Boogie for years and had even tried to reach out in the past, to no response. I immediately hopped on the opportunity to.
