”I Thought He Was Too Ostentatious”
In an interview with Marie Claire magazine, singer-songwriter Alicia Keys opened up about her marriage to superproducer Swizz Beatz. The Grammy winner revealed that she wasn’t too impressed with Swizz when she initially met him. “Swizz will have the fastest car, the biggest jewelery, the loudest jacket; everything with him is really over the top,” she said. “I used to see him and think, “He is so annoying.” “[Her song] ‘That’s when I Knew’ is definitely an ode to my husband… Honestly, I didn’t really like him that much,”she added. “I thought he was too ostentatious.” “I think we’ve taught each other a lot,” Keys shared. “He’s taught me to live more fully and I think I’ve taught him to live more deeply.” |
