BET Awards 2015: Vote on the Night’s (Four!) Style Showdowns
We knew the BET Awards would bring some can’t-miss fashion (did you catch Zendaya’s sparkly collared shirtdress?), but what we didn’t expect: four (yes, four!) fashion faceoffs in one night — some on the very same stage. There was Laverne Cox and Gabrielle Union’s sexy high-slit stage wear, Amber Rose and Blac Chyna’s matching white bustiers on the red carpet, a printed mini showdown from LaLa Anthony and Cindy Crawford and finally, host Tracee Ellis Ross rocked a latex dress style that’s been worn so many times by Kim Kardashian West we weren’t sure there were any left in stock. Let’s recap — and vote!
Cox and Union shared the stage in the same custom Michael Costello white column gown with sexy side cutouts and leg slit (anyone else having flashbacks to that other infamous styleshowdown from Mariah Carey vs. Whitney Houston?) Their matching moment was all in good fun though: The stars jokingly explained that whoever lost a hip-hop trivia challenge had to change their dress for the afterparty. Union lost, but judging from her super-sexy third gown of the night, a sparkly lamé halter, she didn’t seem to get the short end of the stick.

Models Rose (Wiz Khalifa’s ex and the mother of his child) and Chyna (Tyga’s ex and mother of his child) paused on the red carpet to show off their identical tailored outfits — and sneak in a smooch — to support Marriage Equality. The two wore the same cropped bustier top and white suit, matching gold mirrored shades and even the same lip color (which Chyna pointed out on Instagram!).
Next up is a printed mini matching moment (say that 10 times fast!). Anthony walked the BET Awards red carpet in a Peter Pilotto multicolored dress — the same one Crawford wore a week ago while promoting Omega watches Constellation Pluma Collection in Mumbai, India. Anthony shortened the hem and added some edgy cage booties, while Crawford went with a knee-grazing hemline and matching pumps.
And finally, we thought Kim had mastered this ensemble (she’s worn this style three times already — once while several months pregnant) but Ross (the night’s host) might just unset the star as the reigning queen of blush latex. Since both of their bodies look killer in the Atsuko Kudo “Joy” pencil dress the only real question here is which accessory do you prefer: fur shawl or sculptural gold cuff?
