“Closed Doors” was written from Candice’s personal experience of overcoming an eating disorder she struggled with for most of her life. The single will also appear in the upcoming documentary series “Something’s Gotta Give”, which aims to raise awareness about eating disorders and promote recovery. More About Candice:
Candice Sand is a recording artist and songwriter originally from Saskatchewan and currently based out of Toronto. She is best described as a blend of Sia and Jessie Ware: intriguing lyrics, infectious hooks, and a powerful vocal performance.

Her most recent EP (“Against Concrete Walls” 2014) was co-written and produced by the Grammy nominated production team Kuya Productions INC, known best for their work with pop sensation Alessia Cara and her hit single “Here”. After the EP’s release, she teamed up with multi-award winning producer Rob Wells (Sony ATV) and singer/songwriter Shobha (also Sony ATV). Together, they began working on a new project for Candice, carving out a more mature sound for her future releases.

As she worked diligently in the studio with her new team, Candice stayed active as a performer. She completely 3 tours which took her across Canada and to date, she performs over 100 shows per year throughout Canada.
