Daniel “Boobie” Gibson Speaks On Assault Charges From Essence

Earlier today reports surfaced that Daniel Boobie Gibson, Keyshia Cole’s husband, was arrested for assault and battery extending from an incident that happened during Essence Music Festival. Mr. Gibson turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest in New Orleans. Immediately following rumors hit the internet that Keyshia Cole was having trouble in paradise; Boobie was even accused of assaulting his wife according to some “sources”.

We now know for certain those rumors were FAR from the truth. Boobie was actually DEFENDING his wife’s honor. Awwwww!

Boobie called into TMZ to set the record straight. He shed some light on what really happened that night:

Keyshia was performing at the event when some guy approached her and spouted off some very “disrespectful” comments. An altercation broke out and “safety was threatened” so he “needed to take action.” Despite the allegations against him, Boobie says he did nothing wrong — adding, “I have nothing to be ashamed of or hide.” {Read the rest via Twana Tells}
