Davee’s Secrets Style Guide: Mixing Sporty + 70’s
I’m a huge believer in being comfortable and fashionable, and dressing for a wine tour was no exception. I wanted to feel like I stood out, but also comfortable for all the standing and walking I’d be doing.
I think that it’s important these days to realize that looking stylish/feeling fashionable has less to do with trends and coordinating pieces to match and more about your own interpretation of what style is. That is the main thing I keep in mind when dressing for the day, and when it comes down to it —I love mixing different styles that normally wouldn’t pair with each other.
And this is how I came to pair a bell-sleeve top with my favorite and most comfortable sneakers, my Nike Huaraches. Instead of looking slightly in disarray, I think it came off looking more personable and quirky (or at least I hope so).
