Winter is here and when the weather drops, so does the moisture in your skin. It’s crucial to take steps to keep your skin moisturized properly to maintain a healthy glow all season long.

A Rosemary Peppermint Body Scrub is just what your skin needs, plus it makes for a fun afternoon of DIYing when it gets chilly outside. This luxurious scrub will not only give your skin the TLC it needs, but it will also stimulate your senses. The scent of rosemary and peppermint combined will make you feel invigorated and refreshed, making it the perfect winter pick me up.

 

DIY Rosemary Peppermint Body Scrub

  • Granulated sugar
  • Jojoba oil
  • Organic coconut oil (melted)
  • Almond oil
  • Rosemary essential oil
  • Peppermint essential oil
  • Red food coloring
  • Candy canes (approximately 4)
  • Storage container
  • Measuring spoons
  • Mixing bowls (not pictured)
  • Spatula (not pictured)
  • Ziplock bag (not pictured)

Rosemary peppermint body Scrub Directions:

Photo: StyleBlazer1. Take the following ingredients and place them in a mixing bowl:

1 1/2 Cup of granulated sugar
4 Tablespoons of jojoba oil
2 Tablespoon of almond oil
6 Tablespoons of coconut oil (melted)
5 drops of Rosemary essential oil
5 drops of peppermint essential oil

Note: this will make about 2 cups of body scrub. You may alter the portions to fit your needs and the size of your container.

Photo: StyleBlazer2. Separate a 1/3 of the mixture into a separate bowl. With the remaining 2/3 of the mixture, add approximately 4 drops of red food coloring to the mix and stir until the red coloring is evenly distributed. Add more coloring until the color that you desire is achieved.

Photo: StyleBlazer3. Place approximately 4 candy canes in a ziplock bag and use a mallet to crush the candy canes into small, yet course pieces.

Photo: StyleBlazer4. Layer the white and red mix into your container and use the crushed candy canes to separate each layer. Optional: You may also add fresh rosemary into the mix.
