As Councilman at Large Dupré Kelly wants to address several issues:

  • Lack of funding for Youth Programming and Summer Jobs. In order to secure a better tomorrow for us all, we must make greater investments in our youth today. This year over 5,000 Newark youth applied to the Mayor’s summer youth program. Because of funding constraints the City was only able to roughly employ 2,500 students. By expanding private investment by $2 million for the Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program we can truly leave no child behind.
  • Initiate Greater Activities through Arts & Culture. It is through Dupré Kelly’s extensive artistic experience he believes that the arts drive creativity and creativity spurs jobs creation. The latest data from the Arts and Cultural Production Satellite Account ( A collaboration of the National Endowment for the Arts and the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA))  reveals that the arts and cultural sector contributed $729.6 billion or 4.2 percent to the U.S. economy that year. Between 1998 and 2014, the contribution of arts and culture to the nation’s gross domestic product grew by 35.1 percent. Locally, in 2016 Newark’s Arts and Culture Industry generated $178.3 million annually, providing residents income of $133.7M and supporting 4,963 jobs.
  • Lack of Civic Engagement (Neighborhood Inclusion).  We must begin to move the wards out of their individual cultural silos. Encourage a new philosophy on the City Council to move away with protectionist attitudes and work together to serve the interest of the entire city. Doitall will work with stakeholders to make sure the neighborhoods are included in our current economic renaissance. Doitall will create a massive ward by ward initiative encouraging our seniors to volunteer in mentoring and assisting our youth through our city programs.

Dupré Kelly intends to move beyond campaign lines to move the city forward through arts & culture. Newark needs new energy on the City Council.  For media please contact Cordelia Donovan at iam@cordeliadonovaninc.com or call (646)678‑6048 and for campaign inquiries please contact campaign manager Monico Cruz at monicodoitallfornewark@gmail.com or call (973)536‑3729.

Lil $o$o Enjoys The View In New Visual “Passion”

Enlisting Sexyy Red director Suave Films for the Remdolla produced small screen interpretation, Lil $o$o signals a compelling exploration beyond her usual Rap style and leans into the realm of R&B with the release of “Passion.” Following “Enhancements,” the timely track unveils a vulnerable dimension that showcases her versatility as an artist. With emotive lyrics and a smooth melody, “Passion” shines light on a deeper layer of $o$o’s artistry, inviting listeners into a journey of introspection and raw emotion.

In a press statement to Medium Creative Agency about single, the Issa Rae-approved “Florida Girl” reveals: “I love this record because it really shows another side of me. Sometimes, I feel like people are so materialistic or surface level, and I really am starting to see that ‘real’ is rare. I hope to find something deeper than that and that’s what made me put that into my music.”

There’s something in the water. From the City Girls to Kodak Black, with a long list of others, the Sunshine State has been the stomping ground for hip-hop’s culture shifters. Entertainer Lil $o$o is looking to keep that tradition alive. Despite being native to Chicago, since moving to Miami in her early childhood, she’s proudly claimed it as her musical home.

The 22-year-old Colombiana, whose real name is Sofia Donado, has persevered through trauma and pain and continues to show up for herself and her 3-year-old son, who she’s raising as a single mom. Lil $o$o’s boyfriend was gunned down in 2019, while sitting in his car, leaving her without a partner and their son without a father. He was in the music business, and after his passing, Lil $o$o found healing in discovering her musical voice. The result was upbeat rhythms intended to make people dance, smile, and feel free. It was the only way she knew how to make things better.

After laying the groundwork with promo singles “Better Life,” “Go Ooh,” “Bad Attitude,” and “Woo Tang,” the rising rapstress made her official debut Summer of 2022 with ‘$o$o World.’ Executive produced by mentor and label head LunchMoney Lewis, the 14-track collection of records includes additional instrumentation from JulianBeatz, SFL Xavi, TheonlyDiet, Toju, BrianXWhite, Diem, and SoundsbyBreezy. Guest features come by way of Roc Nation recording artist Bobby Fishscale, XXXTentacion affiliate C Glizzy, Warner Records vocalist Savannah Cristina, and Nelle.
