ESPN Fires Back; Nicki Minaj That’s Your Forehead, Not Photoshop…

I must admit that when I saw the cover of ESPN magazine featuring Kobe Bryant and Nicki Minaj, I thought something was off with Nicki Minaj’s photo, but all around it was a cute cover. Nicki Minaj obviously felt the same way, and addressed the issue via twitter with the following comment:

I love my personal un-retouched photos where my forehead doesn’t mysteriously grow in length.

Although the singer was appreciative of the opportunity from ESPN, she tweeted what most people were thinking. To prove her point she shared a few personal photos from behind the scenes of the shoot where she looks #flawless. Not sure why ESPN selected that particular picture for the cover, but they also wanted us to know they didn’t photoshop or retouch Nicki Minaj’s forehead:

While we occasionally make minor visual and cosmetic adjustments to cover images, we do not significantly change a person’s unique physical characteristics. The folks on our covers are too proud of their bodies to stand for that. The forehead Ms. Minaj walked in with is the one on the cover and we’re thrilled she participated. {Source}

“Unique characteristics”, and “the forehead Ms.Minaj walked in with is the one on the cover.” That sounds like a read ESPN. Pretty sure that is a serving of shade with a please, thank you, come again. Ouch!

Check out Nicki Minaj’s personal photos below and compare. Although I agree wit ESPN on the forehead, something is definitely not right in the cover picture. They should have chosen a different pic.
