Though Eve’s latest album, Liplock, wasn’t released with the fanfare of her previous recordings, the rapstress’ return is marked by an openness about her career, her love life and her thoughts on the industry.

For the latest issue of ROLLING OUT, she opens up about her love life with millionaire MaxAMillion and questions the hate she received for daring to date outside her race.  She pointedly asks, ""Would you rather me date someone, like my ex [Stevie J], just because he’s black? Or would you rather me be happy?"

She also talked about rap beefs (mainly among the females) and revealed her close relationship to rapper DMX. Here are the highlights:

On Why Women Should Look At Themselves When Dating:

"My perspective on men has definitely changed,” she admits. "I’ve dated some ridiculous dudes. For women, if you are frustrated and keep attracting the same type of dude over and over again, it is not the dude, it is you. That is something I had to learn. I needed to figure out who I was and what I wanted before I attracted the guy I needed to be with.”

On Interracial Dating:

"I never thought I would date outside of my race,” Eve admits. "I never thought it would seriously be something that I considered because of where we come from. Interracial dating is still not as prevalent in our community. But when I met him, it was something that was so familiar. We recognize each other in a deeper way. If somebody is treating me the way I’m supposed to be treated, who cares what race he happens to be? It took a while for us to get comfortable, but when things got serious, we went for it. When we first started having pictures taken of us, I got so many negative tweets. It shocked me. I wondered where all of that hatred was coming from. It annoys me because America is a great country. But there are a lot of hypocrites. Would you rather me date someone, like my ex [Stevie J], just because he’s black? Or would you rather me be happy?

On Nicki Minaj and Azealia Banks:

"I’m not everyone’s cup of tea and Nicki’s not everyone’s cup of tea,” she says. ”That’s life. You’re not going to listen to every single artist that comes out. But obviously, Nicki has a huge fan base and she’s doing her thing. So what does one person’s opinion mean? I think people just take stuff too far. Some of the new girls that are coming up are dope. Azealia Banks has a lot of cute wordplay. It’s a new generation and it’s cool with me.”

On DMX’s Issues with Substance Abuse:

”DMX is my dog,” She says. "He’s the most special person I’ve ever met, honestly. It’s unfortunate that he’s going through those things. The last time I saw him was when we did the BET Hip-Hop Awards cypher. Anytime that I spend with him and get to talk with him is the best. But X is X. If you know him, you can’t tell him anything and you can’t suggest anything, X is going to do whatever he wants to do. But I’m sure he’ll get better. That’s just his process.”

Loving everything she said.

Emerging from the challenges of the pandemic, the Dowe Twins are taking a stand for what is right. Their debut single, “Gonna Love Us,” boldly addresses gun violence and advocates for safer parks and areas for children. In the wake of Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary, Hip Hop Blvd recognized the twins as the future of the genre, praising their authenticity and ambition to set new standards.

Beyond their impact on the Hip-Hop industry, the Dowe Twins are also pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams with a Cuban link jewelry collection. At such a young age, they are truly embodying the spirit of innovation and excellence.

Their latest single Dance Dance Dance goes a different direction from their debut EP Perfectly Imperfect. While the EP brings the essence of both RNB and Hip Hop into a neat 5 song project Dance Dance Dance takes us to the present of Hip Hop in drill. The track show the versatility in their cadence and their presence. Even we were turnt up in the Rawrrzone listening to them.

New Video: YOUTH SOUL LOVE – BE MY PEACE

YOUTH SOUL LOVE releases his new album “SOULMATE”. I selected the title SOULMATE because I feel like it was something that represents my name & artistry YOUTH SOUL LOVE, It connects with my Young & mature audience bringing them back to the main objective and focus on planet earth which i believe LOVE. where I’m at as an Artist and the times were in. I feel like people are not speaking about love or singing about what comes along with love and I wanted to express my feelings a little bit less in Rap to actually deliver my stories in R&B, electronic and dance form. showcasing my ability to be diverse,You’re going to catch some Rap. You will catch some country, but I feel like this Iconic R&B sound is something soulful that the listeners could gravitate to, all the time when trying to find that special person who is their soulmate. I also went with the title because I feel like “Soulmate” was an amazing addition to my discography. I love everything around the name SOUL, whether it’s “SOUL NOT FOR SALE” or “SOULMATE”. My listeners know that they’re still in my book of discography and soulmate is just another chapter for the listeners and the lovers to connect with me. The genre borrowed from multiple forms, but I would definitely say this is a new chapter of R&B/Melodic Rap, Being that Melodic Rap is a new genre for the new generation. It is a Sound that I felt was perfect to write this musical letter to connect. – My key influences I would have to say would be Love, Heartbreak, Triumph,Fast Living & Nightlife battling to find myself in who I am as an artist while dealing with love finding the balance.
