In this throwback clip from 92.3 The Beat’s DJ Julio G, Common reveals that his friends are integral to evaluating his music before it goes out to the world. “Honestly, I got some good friends around me that be like, ‘Nah, that’s wack dude’…they definitely let me know if I do something wack,” he explains.
However, Common says his own opinion is the one that matters the most. “Even if my homies like ‘that’s wack,’ if I feel it in my heart, I’m doing it.”
